I decided to add a link on my links page. It's to AM Films. It's basically a search engine for just about all the released work that's been done using Animation Master. If you poke around in there, you might be surprised to find some commercials and also some of the internet's all time most downloaded shorts (Victor Navone's Alien Song and Jeff Lew's Killer Bean 2. Go check it out. You'll need quicktime.

Simpson's Strike SettledSimpson's Strike Settled5/3/2004
I bet you didn't know that the voices of the Simpsons and Fox have been at odds for about a month. The squabble could have cost us some episodes next season and possibly the future of the franchise. Fortunately, that's all been settled.

Cheesewars!Cheesewars!3/9/2004
Go check out Cheesewars. It's a serial created in Animation Master that I've always thought was something of an achievement. The creator, Gregg Wrenn, decided to tell his story and not get caught up in the mire of complicated character design, elaborate lighting or any other technical pitfall. He just took what he knew in CG and started telling his story. Recently, he put out a call for collaborators for his next episode. Despite being pretty busy already, I volunteered. I've done a little modeling and look forward to helping out with some animation as well.

Here is the first flythrough of the environment: -GO!-

Nebraska Fires SolichNebraska Fires Solich11/30/2003
For the past week every person who knows me very well has been asking, "Do you think they'll fire Solich?"

I had been firm in saying, "No way," every time.

I would have thought that Tom Osborne's public support and apparent ignorance of any decision to remove Solich would have at least bought him another year. Not only has Nebraska AD Steve Pederson embarrassed the whole state's greatest hero, he may have made himself a powerful enemy, though I'm certain Dr. Tom wouldn't admit to anything like that.

I also considered the fact that the ship seemed headed in the right direction again as good evidence. Ordinarily, if a coach makes the move to fire a bunch of his assistants and hire a bunch of new ones, he does so because he can sense his own firing looming. If the slide continues, then he's fired if there's improvement, the coach is usually applauded for having made the tough decision. Not in this case. I personally did agree with the offensive play calling of the K-State game, but that quibble aside, Nebraska lost to some pretty good teams this year. K-state had two pre-season heisman contenders in QB Roberson and RB Sproles, Texas had one in WR Williams and two more very hi-caliber players in QB Young and RB Benson. Missouri's QB Smith is a similar QB to Young and Roberson who may very well beat Nabraska for the rest of his collegiate career regardless of whether or not Pederson can convince Bob Devaney to reincarnate himself and helm the team. Losing to good teams in a rebuilding year is not embarrassing.

This is being written before the official press conference, so I'm not sure where Pederson is planning on going with this. One thought I've had is that he wants to stay in the family and promote Turner Gill to head coach. Turning his back on Osborne (who brought Pederson to Nebraska 20 years ago) seems to suggest otherwise though. It may be that he has a more trendy idea in mind for Nebraska. Arizona already hired Mike Stoops, Steve.

This is very sad for the University and for Husker fans every where. If I were first-year AD Steve Pederson I would hope that this move works out in a hurry, because apparently only wins matter at Nebraska right now and if his new coach doesn't get enough of them, someone may decide to go "another direction." with his job.

I found this dog wandering around my neighborhood earlier today. If you know her, please let me know. The last thing we need is a basset hound puppy the same week a new baby is expected!

This is Milton's old head, altered a little and grafted onto a quadruped body. Also, it seems like there are too many orange, cartoon cats in the world.
